An integral element of Cretan dress is silk handmade knitted krousato kerchief wrapped skillfully around the head leaving the fringes, like tears, caressing forehead. This is the image of the Cretan we all have our eyes. Usually single worn at weddings or baptisms, not only, but in general are an integral part of Cretan costume. Black or white the headband can be worn by men and women except for the head, over a shirt or jacket making each unique appearance.
