The rhyming erotic novel "Erotokritos" was written at the beginning of Q-century by Vincenzo Cornaro, member Hellenized venetokritikis family, the name of which survive and Italian poems. [...]

"Erotokritos" in the plot combines elements of medieval «Paris et Vienne» novel, taken from a foot Italian translation, and figures from the Italian Renaissance epic, mainly Ariosto.

The poem of Kornaros, charming synthesis of ideas, feelings, images, and a precision and vigorous style and verse, is now considered as one of the greatest creations of the Renaissance throughout Europe. (From the presentation of the publication)
