The writer and researcher, with the responsibility of the good reporter, presents events based on testimonies of protagonists and many others who have fought against the Nazi occupation.

The author gives the testimonies without my own interventions so that through them brighten pages of our newer history.

These are the main reasons that Manolis Paninakis' new book is remarkable and is of particular importance.

They preceded the books of Lefteris' Desire, Dim. Fryganakis << I will be there >> Resistance and exile. In all four of these books, Manolis Pantinakis gives pictures again through authentic testimonies and plenty of other elements, which he carefully gathered. The new book by the Rethymnian journalist refers specifically to the province of Saint Basil, as well as the contribution of their inhabitants. It took five years of the author's effort to publish this important documentary history.

Manolis Pantinakis avoided the temptation to engage in literary daads and in simple, comprehensible, journalistic writing gives the reader the ability to form a clear and complete understanding of those black years.
