Such a great and thorough study of the Cretan song Mr. C. Hatzidakis one can not lightly to judge and analyze.
It is a serious work that I will be a milestone and a starting point in the study of our folk songs.
Valuable folklore and historical contribution of Mr. Hatzidakis on the folk music of Crete to know and watched from long years ago.
And I can say that first Mr. Hatzidakis xanoixe pleria the eyes of my soul the incomparable bravery omorfia Cretan mantinada.
But just as I have before me the very long this volume dealing with the Cretan folk music in all its aspects, historical, folklore, scientific and many transcriptions of songs in European notation, one feels with respect and admiration to the amazing performance -ergo entire life; and an awe for the feat and the intended purpose.
The note does not judge the Mr. Hatzidakis work; why would he needed me much time and a lot of study unfortunately do not have nor sufficient.
I just want to shake his hand Sevastou poster and to express admiration and emotion I felt watching the pages of the book of historical and unwinding of popular Cretan music. (From the prologue issue)
