It is known that the Dancing space began in Greece and more specifically in Minoan Crete . Amount of historical data indicates that the Cretan Dance is the continuity of Minoan dances . The above reference to the acquaintance , love and personal engagement with the Cretan dance the last 24 years as well as the scientific status as a doctor - orthopedist led to writing this book. The aim of the book is the transmission of knowledge in sports medicine dance instructors , amateurs and professional dancers only three traditional Cretan dances for learning , teaching and improving dance performance .
