T-SHIRT EROTOKRITOS (SCREENPRINTED)

Erotokritos is a rhythmic novel composed by Vikendzos Kornaros in Crete, probably in the first decade of the 17th century. It is made up of 10,012 verses attributed to the Cretan dialect. Together with the work Erofili by Georgios Hortatsis,are the most important works of Cretan literature during the Venetian era. Erotokritos passed into folk tradition and remains an extremely popular classical work, thanks also the musical composition by Christodoulos Halaris and the  performance by Nikos Xylouris.

The font is of the 18th century. It comes from the Greek Font Society (GFS 2016-2019) and is an important historical sample, with respect to the typographic tradition.

The polytonic writing system of the Greek language dates from the Hellenistic period (323-30 BC), uses a variety of tone points to describe the phonetic reading of the text. It was in official use until 1982
