A Tribute to Manolis Hiotis
It is with great joy that I transcribed these songs for classical guitar. The idea came to me after hearing about an incident from friend and doctor, Mihalis Katapotis -  ''Maria Kallas was once attending Manolis Hiotis' at a live performance, causing him to stop, and perform instead, “the waiter”
because he knew it was her favourite”.  I thank him for this motivation
Manolis Hiotis was orphaned at the age of 16 years old and studied music on his own. His approach to life teaches us morality and the consistency in his artistic ideals continue to inspire and entertain us even today. His contribution to the orchestral performance of the work's of Mikis Theodorakis and Manos Hatzidakis is unsurpassed.
My sincere hope is that the valuable arrangement lessons he has taught us will remain treasured by future generations and that he will continue to be honoured for everything that he has generously shared.
